Co-employers

Until today, I’d never heard of “co-employers”. The idea is intriguing, an organization that on paper has a large number of employees whom actually work for other corporations. One of the problems of smaller companies is the cost of benefits. The number of employees to qualify for the good benefit packages is not there.

Yesterday my company teamed with a co-employer. We spent two hours in a meeting detailing the benefits. The benefits are impressive. Vision, Dental, Medical, Life Insurance… etc for a small fee every pay check. Still, technically working for another company is disconcerting.
