Ready to Launch 2005: San Francisco

November 6, 2005 · 1 minute read

It’s 7:30 am and I am sitting in front of registration. For those who don’t know what “Ready to Launch” is, it’s the release of the much anticipated Microsoft: Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server and Biztalk Server.

There are about 15 counters for check-in. After checking in, I received a badge and survey. With the badge I made my way to the “Materials Pick-Up” where I got VS.NET 2005 (Team Systems version?), SQL Server 2005, and Windows 2003 Server R2

What materials do you get?

  • You get a nifty badge with a nice neck strap
  • “Ready to Launch 2005” one of a kind t-shirt
  • “Ready to Rock the Launch” Microsoft Resource DVD
  • Windows Server 2003 R2 Release Candidate 1
  • PrimeQuest: Fujitsu Mission Critical servers for the Microsoft Windows Server Environment
  • AMD: “Get set for the MS SQL Server revolution with AMD64” Various PR/advertisements
  • An upscale offical “Ready to Launch” Notepad and pen
