To Round Table Pizza: Bend a Little

December 17, 2004 · 1 minute read

For lunch I wanted to order a pizza. I called Round Table up.

I told them I wanted a medium with their garlic/ranch sauce (white sauce), cheese, chicken, Canadian bacon and broccoli.

“Sorry, sir we don’t have broccoli as an item.” Don’t you have it in your salad bar? “Yes.” Why can’t you take it from there and put it on a pizza? “Because it’s not a topping we offer. We have no way to charge for it.” I can speak to the manager? “I am the manager” Thank you, Good Day.

I called someone else who would work with me. It seems so simple. They lost a business transaction and potentially future transactions on a technicality of not being able to charge for the broccoli. Thus not offering what a customer wanted.
