MovieLink

Ever want to stay at home and watch a movie with the significant other? But someone always had to go rent the movie. Now that has changed thanks to MovieLink. Movielink is an online rental service, but this rental site is unlike any other. For 3 dollars and a high speed internet connection, it’s a snap. This is how it works, first you download the movie ( about 500 megs so some preplaning is needed). Second, the movie comes in Windows Media Format so a large monitor or an external feed to the local big screen would make the experiance more enjoyable. Third, once the movie has been played it will expire in 24 hours, if it’s not played it will expire in 30 days.

3 dollars isn’t anymore than one would pay for a movie at the local Blockbuster, but the download time is going to be the key. It’s like watching water boil..

This service is aimed at broadband users, the question is, are there enough of them out there to make this work? I hope so, this site seems like a good idea.
